Overview & Highlights

Nestled in the heart of Crocker, Missouri, the Wagon Wheel Restaurant invites diners to experience the hearty comforts of classic American cuisine in a warm, small-town setting. This beloved local spot is known not only for its generous portions but also for the genuine care infused into every dish, making it a standout choice for those craving homestyle favorites with a flavorful twist.

Step inside, and you’re greeted by an inviting atmosphere that perfectly complements the rustic charm of the menu. Whether you’re starting your day or winding down with dinner, Wagon Wheel offers a delicious array of options. Breakfast enthusiasts will find themselves tempted by a variety of omelettes—from the savory Denver Omelette loaded with ham, peppers, and cheese, to the hearty Meatlovers Omelette, packed with bacon, sausage, and more. The breakfast side orders, like crispy bacon and fluffy biscuits paired with creamy sausage gravy, complete the comforting morning feast.

For midday or evening, the menu continues to impress with delightful salads and pastas. The Jumbo Chicken Salad bursts with fresh flavors, while pasta lovers can indulge in classics like Chicken Alfredo or spaghetti, each plate boasting rich sauces and perfectly cooked noodles. Don’t miss the Soup & Grilled Cheese combo, a nostalgic pairing that offers both warmth and satisfaction.

What truly elevates the dining experience here is the quality and care evident in every bite. Customers rave about the huge catfish fillets and tenderloin, both seasoned masterfully and served alongside house-made tartar sauce—a testament to the kitchen’s attention to detail. The generous portions ensure you leave satisfied, and the friendly, attentive service enhances the overall feel of a place that genuinely values its patrons.

While some note that the food can lean toward the indulgently greasy side, this only adds to the down-to-earth, stick-to-your-ribs appeal that Wagon Wheel excels in. And although the location might not be in the most bustling part of town, those who make the trip discover a gem that’s well worth it—especially since seating is always immediately available and you can pick your own spot to settle into.

From the moment you walk through the door to the last bite of the hearty Chicken Fried Steak or butterfly shrimp, Wagon Wheel Restaurant offers a satisfying experience filled with big flavors, generous servings, and the comforting spirit of a true neighborhood favorite.

For anyone passing through Crocker or locals looking for reliable, soul-satisfying American fare, Wagon Wheel stands out as a perfect blend of tradition, taste, and warmth.

What a wonderful experience at Wagon Wheel! The food we ordered was amazing! (Catfish, butterfly shrimp, chicken fried steak, salad bar) homemade tarter sauce, too! Everything tasted delicious! Highly recommend this place that is located next to the Town & Country Grocery store. Great service, too!

Small town restaurant with big flavor, great prices, and even better portions. Always seated immediately/ pick your own seats. Service is attentive. Food takes a while to come out but everything has been delicious from the breakfast and dinner pages. Do recommend if you’re not on a time crunch.
